
Up on Limestone Mountain outside of Lander, WY, helping retune an antenna rig. Try to start Truckzilla to listen to the football game … click click click. Dead battery. Fortunately, another one of the guys on the crew that day was able to jump start us. No problems for a month, until we were pointing a satellite dish on a hill partway between Laramie and Cheyenne. Dish pointed, went to start up Truckzilla to go home, and you guessed it – click, click, click. Dead battery. We tried a few different unorthodox “don’t try this at home, kids” ways to trickle charge, the battery, but in the end, a nice man in a tow truck used the Square card reader on his iPhone to relieve us of $85 in exchange for jumping the truck. We stopped at Walmart on the way home to get a new battery, and The Hubs left me in charge of changing batteries. Trust me, it’s a lot easier than you think to change the battery in your car, truck, SUV, what have you. Been there, done that on my scooter! Read the rest of this entry
