Quick Tip: How to see behind things

I just got a Google Chromecast, and wanted to see if my kitchen TV has an HDMI port so I could use it on that TV.  Now, said kitchen TV is mounted under a cabinet with very little space to negotiate behind it.  How is one supposed to discern the existence of an HDMI port when one is too lazy to google for the manual?  With one’s cell phone, of course!

I fired up the Camera app on my iPhone and changed the camera in use from the camera on the back of the phone to the camera on the front.  Next, I wiggled my phone behind the kitchen TV and used the screen as my viewfinder.  I moved my phone back and forth along the back of the TV, saw that the TV was stuck in the 1990’s as far as connectors/jacks were concerned, so I abandoned any hope of using my Chromecast on this particular TV.  Even though I didn’t see what I wanted to see, I was still able to see *where* I wanted to see using this Quick Tip.
